This poster layout was my final project for a Cartographic Design seminar at Middelbury College. The map tells the story of Ghaith, a Syrian student whose difficult escape from the war was documented by a New Yorker article. I became interested in visualizing this story after discussing how immigration maps typically fail to express the unique challenges and complicated decisions that migrants face.
